Biography

Philip's first marriage was to Eleanor Thompson, 21 Sep 1848 in Guernsey County, Ohio.[1]She was the daughter of Jacob Thompson and Susannah Frame.

Their child Emmaretta Law was born in 1849. In 1850 Anna Benson, age 57 b VA and William Benson, age 5 b OH were living in the household.[2]

Philip and Eleanor also had: John Edwin Law b 1850, Sarah Susannah Law b 1851, Martha Jane Law b 1853 and George Allison Law b 1855.

In 1860 the family was living in Centre Township, Greene, Indiana.[3]

Philip Law served in A Company, 97th Indiana Infantry Regiment, in the Civil War.[4]

Eleanor Thompson Law died in 1865.

Philip married Elizabeth (Axtell) Thompson 16 Aug 1867 in Greene County, Indiana.[5]Elizabeth was the widow of his first wife's brother Robert Thompson.

Philip and Elizabeth were living in Greene County in 1880.[6]

On 12 Aug 1885 Philip married Hannah Elizabeth Buzzard.[7]
