James was born about 1887. James's birth was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1887 in Woolwich. Mother's maiden name Moore.[1]
He passed away about 1916. We know that James Law served in WW1 and died when his young son was only approximately 1 year old. We have been unable to locate him up to this point but suspect he was killed in one of the battles of the Somme or thereabouts. In 1913, he is listed as being a "Torpedo Factory Machinist" [2]
