Biography

Sydney was born in 1865. He was the son of Thomas Lawford and Janet Bruce.

Sydney's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1865 in the Tunbridge district.^[1][2]

In the 1871 census, Sydney (age 5) was the son of Thos A Lawford in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.^[3]

In the 1891 census, Sydney (age 25), Lieutenant Royal Fusiliers, was the single brother of Herbert Lawford in Wimbledon, Surrey, England.^[4]

Sydney's marriage to Lillian Maud Cass was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1893 in the St. George Hanover Square district.^[5][6]

He was listed as beneficiary at granting of probate on 11 February 1901 on his wife Lilian Maud's estate.^[7]
