Hi Martin, Thanks for your input on William Worthington. I agree with your comments. I have found other secondary sources citing his birth place as Hartford, but nothing that I would consider using as a source. I can't be sure, but It appears that someone simply copied his wife's birth info into his. For now, I've marked his birth stats as "about/uncertain." I will continue the search. - Frank.

Hi Martin,

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Be sure to check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!

Let me know if you need help with anything. Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you!

Hello Martin,

How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.

Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able. Just ask!

Welcome Martin! (I too have had to cut off false branches, a painful necessity for any accuracy.)

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. We are building one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to check for duplicates as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

See How to Use WikiTree or watch the introductory WikiTree video to be quickly oriented.

Contact the Mentor Team for specific issues.

We offer many ways to participate in WikiTree. Please see our list of Projects for some of them.

Thank you for offering to help build our shared tree.

I was born and raised In the Fair Haven section New Haven, CT. I grew up hearing stories of my New Haven ancestors, having two uncles who did genealogy, and although I have always had an interest I did not persue any form of genealogy research until later in life. In my research I've learned the value of sources, especially after I had to eliminate some ancestors after discovering that they were not my ancestors.
