James Lawrence (son of Edward Lawrence) and Elizabeth Bonner (daughter of William Bonner) were married on 11 Feb 1850 at St Leonard's in Shoreditch, Middlesex.[2][3] The marriage was registered in Shoreditch in the first quarter of the year.[4]

In 1861 James Lawrence (age 34, Carpenter) lived at Petersham Road in [Ham,] Surrey with his wife Elizabeth (34) and four children: Mary A (10, Scholar), Frederick (8, Scholar), Emma (4, Scholar), and Elizabeth (2, Scholar).[6]
In 1881 James Lawrence (age 55, Carpenter) lived at Ham Common in Ham with his wife Elizabeth (55), daughter Alice (16, Pupil Teacher), and granddaughter Annie Lawrence (7, Scholar).[7]
In 1891 James Lawrence (age 65, Carpenter) lived at Kingston Road in Ham with his wife Elizabeth (65).[8]
James' wife passed away in 1893.
In 1901 James Lawrance (age 75, Carpenter) lived at Ham Common in Ham.[9]
In 1911 James Lawrence (age 86, Formerly House Carpenter) was an inmate at the Kingston Union Workhouse in Kingston, Surrey.[10]
James Lawrance passed away in 1912, aged 85 years. His death was registered in Kingston in the first quarter of the year.[11]
