Biography
Cynthia was born about 1780. She passed away prior to her husband. Floyd County Courthouse burnt down in 1808 with her marriage record. The only records prior were deeds that had been re-recorded after this date. Cynthia may died at the birth of William. When John died the children were given to his brother James S. Layne & Henry Burgess who was wealthy and served with John. See details on John W. Layne. Cynthia may be one of the first buried in Layne Cemetery Betsy Layne Kentucky?
