Robert was born in 1628 and baptised at Temple Guiting, Gloucestershire on 17 Sep 1628. He was the son of Anthony Lawrence and Mary Broadway. [1]
In 1644 he received a bequest from his great-uncle and namesake Robert Lawrence of Sevenhampton. [2]
On 8 April 1650 he married Mary Rogers. Their marriage took place at Hazleton, Gloucestershire.[3] They had at least eight children:
He died on 19 Jun 1700 and was buried at Sevenhampton on 19 of that month. [4] His death is recorded on a brass plate in the church at Sevenhampton that reads The sacred remains of ROBERT LAWRENCE, gent aged LXXII (72) Late Lord of the Manor of Sevenhampton and Brockhampton.
