Biography

This family lived in the Cumings house at 27 Main Street during the Revolutionary War and were attacked by a mob because several of the Cumings brothers were Tories. Oliver served as Selectman during the Revolutionary War in the years 1776, 1777 and 1779. He was among the officers who oversaw the smallpox hospital during 1779.
