I found several NC Death Index files for various people listing Bud Laws. All listed Bud Laws except one, it listed Marcus James Bud Laws. I can tie all these records together with Census Records except for Rainey (due to a spelling conflict of her first name).
I found that there are various names for the mother for each of those records:
Nancy Mealy Watson
Nann Price
Nan
Nan Watson.
To complete the story I need to know where Rainey Laws was in 1900 and 1910. The two census records I have based on the various records only list one person that is the correct age. They list a "Geany Laws" and "Gerang Laws" respectively. I know the census records contained names spelled phonetically and they are prone to transcription errors. It is also possible that Nancy remarried or someone other than Rainey provided the details for the death certificate. An interesting note here: a family friend and witness to her parents marriage, Sarah Price, also lived next door according to census records. Regardless this remains speculation for the moment.
While the find a grave source is fairly accurate, I do not believe the stated parentage is accurate for several reasons. The primary one being her NC Death Index record.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rainey by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rainey:
For your DNA confirmation statement: Because the matching test takers are more distantly related than third cousin, you will need to use triangulation. See this part of the DNA confirmation instructions:
