Biography

Sarah was born in 1888. She was the daughter of Henry Lawson and Nancy Parmley. She passed away in 1983.

In the 1910 census for Texas Co., OK, Henry Lawson (age 72 and b. in KY) was listed with his wife Nancy (age 66 and b. in TX) and daughter Sally E. Lawson (age 21 and b. in MO). According to the census, Henry and Nancy had been married 49 years, had 10 children and only five were still living.

Sarah "Sallie" Melissa Lawson is the tenth and last child born to Henry Lawson and Nancy Parmley.

She married Gabriel "Gabe" Maupin Townsend on September 25, 1910 in Oklahoma. They had three daughters: Anna Evelyn, Jessie Margaret, and Dorothy "Dixie".
