Biography
From History of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania:
Joseph B. Lawson, merchant, postoffice Crafton, a son of Joseph and Nancy Lawson, was born in Delaware county, in 1834, and settled where he now resides, in Chartiers township. His father, Joseph Lawson, married, in Ireland, Nancy Calderswood, and came to this country in 1812. They have four children: Isabella (deceased), Thomas (deceased), Mary (wife of James McKnight) and Joseph B. The father died in 1866, at the age of eighty-nine years, and the mother in 1869, at the age of ninety-one years.
