William Lawson of Cramlington, Northumb.,[1] (b. c. 1480? - d. 27 Mar, 9 Henry VII, 1518), was the son of Thomas Lawson (d. 02 Jul 1489),[2] and -- as cited by Dougdale and Archaeologina Aelina -- [Agnes] (d. 1466 / 6 Edw. IV), d. & h. of Sir William Cramlington.[3] Lundy (2009), however, names his mother, "Isabell Killinghall."
Marriage
William married [. . .] Horsley,[1] and lived at Cramlington, Northumberland in 1518. Their second son is James Lawson.[4][2]

"William Lawson Esquire of Cramlington Co Northumberland seized in fee-tail-male of half of the manor of Cramlington and Hamlet of Whitlaw held by the King in captite as the sixth part of one knights fee. Also divers lands etc. in Hertlaw, Morpeth, Bywell and other parts of the County of Northumberland in special fee-tail."

Vis. of Northumb., 1615, asserts that his mother was d. & h. of [...] Cramlington of Cramlington, Northumb; and that his son Thos. was m. to Elizabeth, dau. of Lionell Fenwick.[1]
