Biography

If the New York passenger arrivals record belongs to this Alexander Lawson, then he was born about 1805 in Ireland.^[1]

He married Sarah Maxwell in 1830 in County Armagh, Ireland.^[2]

They must have come to Canada not long after they were married, but Alexander is the only one on the 1830 passenger manifest.^[1]

They had three sons, all born in Ontario:

1. John Lawson (~1833–1911)
2. Robert Lawson (1841–1912)
3. Adam Alexander Lawson (1842–1929)

He and Sarah are named in their son Adam's marriage registration,^[3] and also in his death registration.^[4]
