Note N285Epaphroditus Lawson was Christened October 8, 1684 in Christ Church, Lancaster Co, VA. He was on the 1716 Tithe List for Lancaster Co, Va with 7 person in his family. His will was 2 Nov 1721 probated 12 Dec 1722 in Lancaster Co, Va. In his Will: " My will is that my whole estate be Inventoryed & appraised as soon as possibel after my decease and equally divided between my children as they come of age. I give to my loving brother John Lawson my best suit of wareing cloths. I give and bequeath unto my kinsman Fortunatus Sydnor my riding horse & saddle. I make my sons at age to take their affairs into their own possession at nineteen and my daughter at sixteen or the day of marriage. I give to my daughter one young mare with all her increase & the required current mony to be laid out by my Executors for her use if it be not done by me before my death. I give unto my sister Catherine Lawson whilst she will stay with my children and take ? on her of looking after them as heretofore eighte hundred pounds of tobacco yearly.
