Andrew was born on June 27, 1877 at Cordell in Scott County, Tennessee. He was the son of John Brown and Mary Lawson.[1]
Andrew J. Lawson married Lucinda Jeffers July 12, 1907, in Scott County, Tennessee, USA.[2]
He passed away from a heart attack on Saturday, January 28, 1933. He was buried in the Bull Creek United Baptist Church Cemetery in Scott County, Tennessee,

LAWSON, Andrew. "Cordell." Andrew LAWSON, age 56, died Saturday afternoon of a sudden heart attack, he had only been sick a few hours and his sudden death was a shock to his many friends and relatives. He was a citizen of Bull Creek and leaves a wife, two daughters and three sons, several half brothers and one half sister, besides many close relatives and friends to mourn his absence. Funeral were at the Byrges Creek church conducted by Revs. M.D. LAWSON and John L. LAWSON and Maynard JEFFERS of New River. Songs for the occasion were rendered by Miss Hattie BROWN, Mrs. Dessie JEFFERS, Clifford LAWSON, Arlie and Kelly JEFFERS and M. D. LAWSON. A large crowd was present to show their last respects and view for the last time the remains of a beloved citizen and neighbors who had to answer the death call so suddenly. Interment was in the Jeffers Cemetery Monday afternoon. This community extends to the bereaved family their heartfelt sympathy. Scott County News, Fri, 3 Feb 1933, Vol. 17, No. 43, p4. "Winona."
