George Brunswick Lawson was born in Sheffield, New Brunswick August 13, 1893[1], the son of Alice (Stevens) Lawson and Brunswick Lawson.
George enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force on April 5, 1915. The 26th battalion left for Europe on the June 15 of the same year and was a highly decorated unit. George Lawson was killed in action on March 26, 1916. [2]He is buried at the Westoutre Churchyard Extension, Belgium.[3]
