Biography

Hannah was born^[1] and baptised in 1851 in Howden, Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of George Newham and Elizabeth Lawton.^[2] She lived with her mother on Pinfold Street in Howden in 1851.^[3]

Hannah took her father's surname after her parents married in April 1851.^[4]
