Biography

Hannah Lax was born on 15 July 1869 in Brisbane Queensland, Australia. She was the daughter of Jim Lax and Emma Hartopp.

The typed copy of her father's death certificate reveals her name spelt as Anna not Hannah Gorman.

Married Michael Henry [Henry] Gorman on 25 February1897 in Brisbane and they had seven children named:- Gladys Ellen [Helen] Gorman, Elsie Gorman, Sydney James Gorman, Michael Henry [Harry] Gorman, Emma May Gorman, William Vincent Gorman and Vera Hannah Gorman. .

Death occurred in Brisbane General Hospital on 15 December 1941; buried the next day at South Brisbane cemetery; with her husband and daughter Emma Gorman.
