Biography

James was born in 1835. He was the son of Lorenzo Lay and Sarah Hill. He passed away in 1877.

James was born in 1835. His middle initial is on his daughter Evaline's marriage license to her first husband as well as his marriage record.

James married Sarah Karr on April 19, 1855 in Hardin County, Ohio.

He died of typhoid in 1870.

Research Notes

A search was made for a marriage between 1835 and 1850 for Samuel Hill and Priscilla __ in case she might have been James' mother. The following was found, not of much use.
