Biography

John Laycock was baptized in adulthood on 26 April 1802 in the Sedbergh parish church in England (Yorkshire). At baptism, John gave his parents as John and Rebecca, and his birthdate as 12 February 1779.^[1]

On the same date of 26 April 1802, John married Agnes Taylor of Sedbergh. In doing so, he "married out" of the Society of Friends.

John and Agnes had ten children:
