Rose was born in 1879 in Adelaide, South Australia. She was the daughter of George Loyau and his third wife Eleanor (Hart) Loyau. Her twin sister Lily died when she was 5 months old.
Rose married Havilan Leslie Yates in 1906 [1]in Stroud NSW and they had 5 children.
Rose passed away in Newcastle, NSW, Australia in 1963. [2]
