Owen Layton was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
Owen was born in 1900 in the Armidale district of the Colony of New South Wales. He was the son of Thomas Layton and Mary Mowle[1]
In 1934 he was recorded as a grazier at The Laurels, Ebor, New South Wales. Other Laytons also recorded at The Laurels were his father Thomas John Layton, mother Mary Matilda Layton, brother George Douglas Layton and a William John Mounty Layton.[2]
He married Mary Agnes Atkins on 25 February 1936 in the Brisbane district of Queensland. [3]
In 1968 Owen was recorded as a trainer at 50 Kent Street Hamilton, Queensland. Elspeth were recorded as a fur finisher at 50 Kent Street Ascot, Queensland.[4]
He passed away on 24 October 1969 in the Brisbane district of Queensland.[5]
