Biography

Francis Layton was born in 1746 to William Layton and Ann Harland - he immigrated to Nova Scotia in 1774. He married Elizabeth West April 20, 1772 in England and they had one child prior to immigrating and 3 more in Nova Scotia. He was the son of William Layton and Anne Harland. Francis died in 1829 at Mount Denson, Hants Co., Nova Scotia. Francis was a Blacksmith.
