In 1776, Frederick County split to become 3 counties, Washington County and Montgomery County being added.

There are census reports for 1790 and 1800 for Montgomery County, Md. showing Thomas Lazear. The 1790 is not easily readable.

The Findagrave page and the FamilySearch profile for THOMAS LAZEAR show wife as Elizabeth(1775-1852; FamilySearch gives maiden name Braddock, no source).

1840 Richhill reiterates estimates of birth as 1770-1780 for husband and wife. Other occupants, four males, approximate birth years 1805, 1820, 1825, 1835, and one young lady in the 20-30 year column.

Thomas is noted in marriage record of July 30, 1868, when his son Jesse, then 63, wed Mary Bushfield, then 52, in Ohio, West Virginia.
