Biography

Esther LeBaron was born 1 Aug 1921 in Colonia Juárez, Chihuahua, México ,^[1] the daughter of Dayer LeBaron and Maud McDonald. She grew up in Juarez, Chihuahua Mexico ^[2] and then moved to Arizona by 1940. ^[3] She married Floyd Otto Spencer 1895–1965 on 19 Feb 1944 in Buenaventura, Chihuahua, México when she was 25.^[4] His first wife Eva divorced him in Oct 1944. Some of their children were born in Texas. She wrote a biography of her family and also was noted as a concert pianist. ^[5] "Esther, 55, a concert pianist who lives in Colonia Juarez. She began writing the family history while in jail after several polygamist families were arrested in a raid on Short Creek, Ariz, in 1953. "I think we are a most unusual family," Esther was quoted by Van Atta as saying. "There's no use any of us lying about the family. Facts are facts and truth is truth." She died 13 Mar 2018 in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
