Dominique was born on 7 Mar 1835 and baptized in Memramcook on 29 Mar 1835. He is the son of Simon LeBlanc and Marie Gaudet.[1]
Dominic married Olive Melanson 13 Jan 1857 in Memramcook. Parents are not identified. However, notes added later indicate that Dominic was son of gros (big) Simon à Issac while Olive was daughter of PIerre à Jeanne.
He later married Rosalie Richard in Memramcook on 13 Nov 1859. The witnesses were Maximin and Justine Belliveau.[2]
In 1861, Dominique and members of his family were enumerated in the Dorchester Parish of Westmorland county as follows: Domenick White 26; Rosella 28; Simon 3; Martil 9 months.
Research notes
Although the parents of the newlyweds are not identified in the marriage record, these websites show them as being their parents. More research is needed to validate this information.
The presence of Simon in the 1861 New Brunswick Census provides support to the conclusion that Dominique married Olive Melanson before marrying Rosalie Richard. (Renaud LeBlanc-7823 February 2024)
