On March 8, 1786, Rene LeBlanc, son of Rene LeBlanc and Marguerite Thebeau, was one of the seventy Acadien heads of families, the founders of Arichat Parish , that thanked the lieutenant governor of Cape Breton, J.F.W. DesBarres, "for the promise of land concessions, the permission to construct a church and school, and the request for tax exemptions."[3]
Son of the notary René LeBlanc and Marguerite Thebeau.
Married at Grand Pre in 1752 to Anne Blanchard, daughter of Rene Blanchard and Marguerite Theriot.
