Jean Leblanc was baptized on 22 October 1796 in Châteauguay, Bas-Canada (now Québec, Canada).[1] His parents were Etienne Leblanc and Marie Amable Rivard Loranger.[1][2]
Jean Leblanc of St-Anicet, son of Etienne Leblanc and Jeane Amable Loranger married Marguerite Lemay of St-Anicet, on 23 July 1821.[1][2] PRDH indicates they married in St-Anicet, while Family Search indicates that the marriage record is from Saint-François-Régis, in St-Régis, about 40 km distant.
According to PRDH, the children of Jean Leblanc and Marguerite Lemay Delorme were:[3]
In the 1881 Canada census, Jean Leblanc (86, born about 1795 in Quebec) and Margerite Leblanc (82) were living in Prescott, Ontario, with their daughter's family Augustin Dechamp (59) and Henriette Dechamp (54) and children.[4]
Jean Leblanc died on 12 Oct 1882 in Plantagenet, Prescott, Canada. He was 88, so born about 1794 in Quebec. He was a farmer.[5]
This profile lists a marriage to Francoise Deschamps on 26 Nov 1817 in Saint Regis, New York. However there is no source for this marriage. PRDH does not include this marriage. (Also location is unlikely - St-Regis was a town in Huntingdon, Bas-Canada.) Possibly this is referring to a different Jean Leblanc than the current profile.
