Biography

CHARLES LEBLANC ' was born around 1717 in Grand-Pré, Acadia. At age around 22, he married Anne Boudrot in Grand-Pré on 27 Sep 1745. [3][4]

Charles lived during the time of the expulsion of Acadians from their homes and towns. He was living in Southampton, Hampshire, England during the census of 16 May 1763. [5] His wife, however had died there on Aug 1756. [6] [7]

He was next repatriated to France (his great-grandfather Daniel emigrated to Acadie from France around 1650) and was living in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France in September 1784. [8] From there, the couple and one child, Marguerite Genevieve, married to Augustin Marie Duon, immigrated to New Orleans, Louisiana aboard "Le Saint Rémi" debarking on 10 Sep 1785. [9]
