Biography
Marie (LeBlanc) Deveau is a descendant of an Acadian
Marie Rosa LeBlanc was the daughter of Joseph Ligouri LeBlanc and Anne Pothier.[1]
She was born October 6, 1912 in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia[2], and was baptised October 9, 1912 at St. Michael's in Wedgeport.[1]
She resided in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia at the time of her marriage, working as a hair dresser in a beauty parlor.[3]
She married Nelson George Deveau from Liverpool, Nova Scotia, the son of Henry Deveau from Salmon River, Nova Scotia, and Mary Saulnier, on May 23, 1939 at St. Ambroise Church in Yarmouth.[3]
Marie Rosa died August 29, 1997 in Liverpool.[1]
