Edouard LeBlanc was the son of Mandé LeBlanc and Gertrude Babin.[1]
He was born in Tusket Wedge, Nova Scotia[2][3] sometime after November 5, 1853, as that is when his parents married.[1]
He grew up in the family home located at 2531 Hwy 334[2] in Tusket Wedge.[3]
In 1904 he purchased a home from Henri Adolphe LeBlanc at 2460 Hwy 334[4] in Tusket Wedge.[3]
He lived in this house up until 1915 when he moved to Salem, Massachusetts selling the house to Jean Maurice Pothier.[4]
Edouard died February 28, 1918 in Salem.[5]

In 1908 residents petitioned the Provincial Government for town incorporation and on 16 May 1910, the Town of Wedgeport was officially incorporated. The communities currently known as Upper Wedgeport, Wedgeport, and Lower Wedgeport, became a single town, separate from the Municipality of Argyle.
