Biography

Antoine was born around 1682 in Acadia (in present-day Nova Scotia) to Antoine LeBlanc and Marie Bourgeois.[1]

In 1686, at Port Royal, Antoine, aged 4, was living with his parents, Antoine LEBLANC, aged 24, and Marie BOURGEOIS, aged 21, and his younger brother, Charles, aged 2. They were living next door to his father's brothers and near his grandparents, who were both 60 and still held a large farm and many animals. None were listed in the 1686 census for his father, Antoine.[2]

Antoine (20) married Anne Landry (14) (born about 1688 in Grand Pre, Acadie, Nouvelle-France; daughter of Antoine Landry and Marie Thibodeau) in 1703 in St-Charles-les-Mines, Acadie.[1] Their known children were:

  1. Antoine LeBlanc (abt. 1704–1744) .
  2. Paul (Leblanc) LeBlanc (1707– ) .
  3. Brigitte LeBlanc (1710–1773) .
  4. Anne Marie LeBlanc (1712–bef. 1777) .
  5. Marie Josephe Leblanc (abt. 1715–1761) .
  6. Simon Pierre (Leblanc) LeBlanc (1721–1789) .
  7. Marguerite LeBlanc (1723– ) .
  8. Olivier LeBlanc (1726– ) .
  9. Blanche (Leblanc) LeBlanc (abt. 1729–1730)

Antoine died on January 27, 1739, at Grand Pré, Acadia. He was 57 years old.[3][1]

Leblanc-2387 and LeBlanc-69 appear to represent the same person because: They both married Anne Landry (though, again two different profiles) daughter of Antoine Landry and Marie Thibodeau. Secondly Daniel LeBlanc had but 7 children.

It appears that Antoine (LeBlanc -2387) is a duplicate of Antoine II (LeBlanc-69). Daniel had only 7 children and Antoine (LeBlanc-2387) is actually Daniel's grandchild, son of Antoine (LeBlanc-95).
