Biography

Benjamin was born 6 Apr 1711 at Port Royal. He was the son of René Leblanc and Elizabeth Melanson. The record of his birth was reported at Saint Charles des Mines 8 Dec 1711[1] as his parents had presumably moved there. His godparents were Pierre Leblanc and Marie Joseph Damours Deschaufour.
