Biography

When Marguerite-Philomene LeDuc was born on February 10, 1849, in La Prairie, Quebec, Canada, her father, Joseph, was 38, and her mother, Marie, was 34. She married Elias Chagnon on September 14, 1869, in Wisconsin. They had seven children. She died on November 30, 1908, in Mariapolis, Manitoba, Canada, at the age of 59.

New York, Philomina Chagnon, age 19, housewife, b. Canada. - Family resided in Rhinelander, Oneida county, Wisconsin. - Gave her address as Green Bay when she married Eli Chagnion. Witnesses at marriage: Nicholas Mitote and Rose de Lima Landeau. - By 1878, three daughters were listed in the County Courthouse records of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. - On the 1870 Census, Eli's birth place was listed as New York, on the 1880 Census as Canada.-->
