Lula was born in 1923. She was the daughter of Jim LeGrand and Nobie Thomas. [1] [2]

She later married Doyle Richard (D.R.) Nichols also called "Nick" Nichols. He adopted her two children and they had another two children together.

Lula was an LVN and worked many years as a nurse in the Emergency Room for the hospital and then a private practice.
