- He was the father of Louis Lejeune.
- In 1699 his son was abducted by his mother, Louis' grandmother, with the aim of removing him from the repressive Catholic regime. Eventually the boy arrived in Ireland.
- It is unlikely that Nicolas-François was complicit in this. The King was said to be distressed by the event
