Frank was born in 1895. He was the son of George LeMar and Emma Moody. He passed away in 1960.
Lemar, Frank E. 1895-1960 GARDINER --- Frank E. Lemar, 64, former chief of the Gardiner Fire Dept., died Tuesday morning at the Veterans Administration Center Hospital, Togus. Born in Medford, Mass., Dec. 19, 1895, he was the son of George and Emma Moody Lemar.
He served the department as chief for 28 years.
Mr. Lemar was a member of Hermon Lodge AF&AM of Gardiner, and was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his widow, Katherine Green Lemar of Gardiner; three sons, Hudson F. Lemar of Augusta; Merle O. and Galen S Lemar, both of Gardiner; four daughters, Mrs. Katherine Morrisette of Freeport, Mrs. June Donovan of Gardiner, Mrs. Hope W. Best of Farmingdale and Miss Mona Lemar of Freeport; two brothers, Joseph N. Lemar of Randolph and George W. Lemar of Dresden; a sister, Mrs. Alice Steward of Graniteville, Mass; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at 39 Washington Ave.
LEMAR, Frank E. --- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Amesbury-White Funeral Home, 39 Washington Ave., Gardiner. Friends may call Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and evenings.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery Gardiner.
