Biography

Marjorie was the youngest daughter of William the Lion, King of Scots, and his queen-consort Ermengarde Beaumont, although the date of her birth is unknown.^[1][2]

On 1 August 1235, at Berwick, she married Gilbert Marshal, 7th earl of Pembroke.^[3][1] There were no children from this marriage.^[1][2] Her husband died 27 June 1241 of injuries sustained during a tournament.^[1]

Marjorie, Countess of Penbroke, died 17 November 1244 and was buried in the church of the Black Friars in London.^[1][2][4]
