Louise Benedicte Le Fel volunteered for voyage to Biloxi, Louisiana, New France colony arriving on January 8th, 1721 with up to 88 women aboard the French flute la Baleine. Her birth year of 1702 is calculated from the passenger list created in 1720 when she was 18. [1][2]
Louise Benedicte Le Fel, daughter of Mathieu Le Fel & Marie La Porte, married Pierre Sebastien Larteau, native of La Rochelle, France, son of Pierre Larteau & Catherine Roy, on 28 Apr 1721 at Old Biloxi. Pierre was killed at Natchez during the massacre of 29 Nov 1729.[3][4]
