Hello

Thank you for signing the Honor code. Collaboration, accurate information and good sources are the basis for a great WikiTree.

By signing the Honor Code you're telling others you are a responsible Wiki genealogist.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Have a nice journey on Wikitree,

Guy - Wikitree Mentor / Leader

Hi!

How are you? I'm Shirley, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Shirley ~ WikiTree Mentor

Glad you Volunteered!

You are now a member of WikiTree! Please help us build one Collaborative Global Family Tree, which means only one profile per person. It's important that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced- if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

To help you get started, view this introductory WikiTree video.

For a list of Member benefits, see Community Members page.

Our Mentors are glad to answer questions, too. Welcome! Laura

Hi, I'm interested in joining this community. I've been actively doing genealogy for 20 years often helping friends, family, coworkers and other genealogists. I am from Cleveland, Ohio and have had many opportunities to research families that have originated from all over. I agree with the simple rules and figured I have a lot of talent to offer the community.

Hi! I see you have uploaded/added your DNA test information. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.
#I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to great information about GEDCompare, the process of adding a GEDCOM to WikiTree, that you might find helpful.

If you have any brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. Because WikiTree has only one profile for each person, the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old = open). There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: brickwall

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

Hello & Welcome, to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile per person.

Feel free to ask questions at our G2G forum. Also, our help pages menu, top right, has some very useful information.

The Honor Code is why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree, so please take some time to read it. Want to join us? Check the volunteer box and leave a brief comment about your genealogical interests. - Happy researching, Patt -
