Biography

William was born in 1897. William is the child of Robert Leach and Alice Wise. [1]

Married Mary Collins, a young Irish girl in Wellington.

Wiiliam served in WW1. Served in Egypt and Western Europe for 4 years. A private in the 9th Reinforcements, Wellington Infantry Battalion, B Company, NZEF. He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

Before the war he worked as a gas fitter for Gas Co in Masterton. Lived at Ramati Road, Paraparaumu.
