Biography

Jemima was born about 1824. She was the daughter of Samuel Lear and Mary Fisher. In 1848 She emigrated to New South Wales, Australia with her sister Priscilla on the Castle Eden. Her calling was listed as kitchen maid[1]

1841 Census

Jemima, aged 15, was living at Guernsey Cottage, Bath Rd, Cheltenham , Gloucestershire with her mother, Mary, aged 50 and her siblings:Thomas 20 a Painter, Priscilla 15, Jabez 10 and Julia 5. [2]
