Permelia (or Parmelia) Ann Leatherman was born on 14 Nov 1835 in Putnam County, Indiana,[1] the daughter of Daniel Leatherman and Mary Wilson.[2]
Permelia married three times:
to Willard S. Blair (d. Aug 1860)[2] on 24 Jun 1855, they had four children, one dying in infancy;[1]
to Moses Benton (d. Aug 1883)[2] on 9 Jun 1868 in Buchanan County, Iowa,[3] they had five children, two dying in infancy;[1]
to James P. Ayrault (d. Apr 1901) on 13 Dec 1898[1] in Marion, Iowa.[4]
Permelia Ann Leatherman Blair Benton Ayrault died on 27 May 1901, in Troy Mills, Linn County, Iowa,[2] at the home of her son, Milo Blair,[1] and was buried at Quasqueton Cemetery, Quasqueton, Buchanan County, Iowa.[5]
