John Leche of Carden occurs in a deed with Isabel his wife, daughter and heiress of William Johnson of Farndon, in 1461. In 14 Edward IV (1474) his dwelling house was burnt, with great loss of goods. He settled lands in Malpas and Horton of John, his son and heir apparent, in 2 Richard III (1484), and was aged 82 in 7 Henry VII (1491/92).[1]
