Joe was born Rothwell, 3 February 1884. [1] [2]
With siblings & parents in 1901 living in Westbury Grove, Hunslet, Yorkshire. He worked as a colliery underground pony driver. [3]
The marriage of Joseph Ledger & Ethel Wolstenholme was conducted on 3 June 1906 Stourton, St. Andrew, Yorkshire. [4]
Living in Coggill Street, Stourton, Leeds in 1911 with wife Ethel & children. He worked as a coal miner. [5]
A colliery deputy in 1939 living in Wood Lane, Rothwell, Yorkshire with wife Ethel & son Duncan. [6]
