Biography

Francois Ledoux, son of Pierre Ledoux and Cecile Rondeau, was born on 22 Oct. 1755 and baptized on 5 Nov. 1755 at at St. Francis Church at Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.[1][2]

He married Marguerite Rougeau, daughter of Jean Baptiste Rougeau and Marguerite DeMouy on 23 Dec. 1776 at Natchitoches.[3] Hebert indicates the date as the 21st of December.[2]
