Ledoux-601 and Ledoux-515 appear to represent the same person because: As far off as the estimated birth year I had was, I think these two François Ledoux might actually be the same person. A website called RootsWeb said Celenie Ledoux's parents were Marie Melasie Leger and François Ledoux. The birthdate on the website for François was the same one you have-December 5, 1816. It lists Marie Melasie Leger as his second wife and a Marie Marphisa Matte as his first (which is probably Orphise), her parents being the same with minor spelling variations. This does make François a lot older than his second wife (born 1843) and a pretty old father (age 45), but not to a point where it's impossible or unheard of. Thanks in advance for checking this out and your opinion on whether they should be merged.
