Born to the Lee family, James and Naomi, in the same County as John Clay Lee as they joined the same Regiment on the exact day/place...Only John Clay survived and came home. BUT now that I have researched further...........
There are numerous Richard Lee's Sgt. Richard M Lee who fought for the 5th Mo. Infantry CSA and KIA May 12 1863.
The Richard Lee b:1832 KIA 4 Jul 1863 in Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas CSA 10th/16th Cavalries.. Helena Arkansas is 115 miles east of Little Rock Ar. where this Richard Lee is said to have been KIA ...... for the CSA (can not find a 19 year old in the fold3 records for CSA.
NOW let us see IF this Richard/Eliza Jane LEE is on the 1870 census...
none found for either of them, there are several Eliza Lee's living with other families, one even has a 1 year old son, but they are living on Wolf Island so I don't think that is Eliza Jane. Does not look like Richard and Eliza had kids before he left for the War.... WELL, that is a wrong statement according to wikitree.com
"Note: Eliza's first husband was killed in the Civil War.
When Mary was only 6 weeks old, Richard left to serve in the Confederate Army under General Sterling Price. He was killed near Little Rock, Arkansas in 1862.
The only thing about Gen. Price, he was a Brig Gen of the CSA and had thousands of Regiments under his command. wikipedia does not list the Regiments.
Eliza and her infant had a difficult time. Her horses were stolen, her home entered, ransacked and things destroyed.
In 1864 she married Cyrus Davis (ID:27338667) and moved into the home that she lived in until her death.
Besides her children, she was survived by 24 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She is buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery. " Find A Grave: Memorial #27338670

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:
Lee-11765 and Lee-1471 appear to represent the same person because: After further researching I found the 1860 census where Richard Lee & wife Eliza jane James are living in Henry county. This does seem to be one/same after rereading the info on the Lee-11765 found thank you Carole
Looks like Lee-11765 and Lee-1471 are the same person. The Lee-1471 profile does not have much info on it, but it does have a spouse of Eliza James and dau of Mary LEE Huey.
