DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Verdie by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Lowe-4487 and Lee-14640 appear to represent the same person because: Everything is the same except for her maiden name. This was my grandfather's sister and I know that her last name at birth was Lowe not Lee. Her delayed birth certificate and her marriage record both say that her name was Virdie Lee Lowe. Goodman was her married name. This duplicate was pointed out to me by Stephen Pierce (Pierce-9515) through the 2019 Spring Clean-A-Thon.
