"Son of William Lee and Ann Winrow. He married Emily Pollard in 1860.
Marriage Notice in the Creswick & Clunes Advertiser of Dec. 21, 1860: On the 10th instant, at Buninyong, by the Rev Thomas Hastie, William Lee, of Creswick, late of Leicestershire, to Emily, eldest daughter of Mr John Pollard, of Creswick, late of St Just, Cornwall." Unverified - the newspaper in question appears not to be listed on Trove website.
Funeral Notice in the Daylesford Advocate, Yandoit, Glenlyon and Eganstown Chronicle of Nov. 16, 1917: "THE Friends of the late Mr William Lee (formerly of Daylesford) are respectfully invited to follow his remains from the Daylesford Railway Station to the Daylesford Cemetery, on Saturday, November 17th, on the arrival of the 11.50 a.m. train from Melbourne."
